OK I have 2 AVIs and when I try and author them to a DVD there isn't enough room. No problem I will use TMPgenc to reencode. Everytime I try and use TMPgenc fr this and the other file I get big error:

"Read error occurred at address 00012f40 of module tmpgenc.exe with 505c3a40"

I basically just need to encode them smaller to get both them authored onto a DVD.

    Help.

    Thanks

  2. What size are the avi's? How many mb's? If they are 700mb's a piece you can use just about any video joiner to join the 2 files together. Also you may use any mpeg encoder to encode to dvd format. I would use Honestech mpeg encoder or Mainconcept mpeg encoder to encode the files to fit one Dvd. Then burn with your favorite burning program. TMPGEnc, If the files are small will waste alot of space on your Dvd. Hope this helps.

  4. OK, Look in the tools section and use virtualdub to join the files. You can use the guides under virtualdub their pretty easy to use. Then like I said in my last post you can use any mpeg encoder to make your joined 700mb file into Dvd format. I would suggest to encode your joined file to 4 gigs so that you won't have alot of blank space on your Dvd. Hope this helps.

Use AVICodec or GSpot and load in the AVIs. This will tell us all about the files - what codec, frame size, bitrates, etc etc. Post the screen dumps either program back here if possible.
    If in doubt, Google it.

...and have you scanned your AVIs for bad/undecodable frames?
