Could anyone possibly tell me how to clean the print head nozzles other than with the software. Printer is Epson RX600. My yellow is not coming out with a brand new cartridge so I am assuming the print head is clogged. Really could use some help if someone could tell how to flush it out or clean it. Thanks guys.
    Thank You,

I've had some success with nail polish remover but I expermented on an old printer. I tried it on a newer one too, both had the print heads on the cartridge so if I damaged them it wouldn't have mattered.

I have newer epson with a static print head that had the same problem of constantly getting clogged. Someone suggested I turn it off unless in use and this seems to help a lot. Never had trouble with a new cartridge though.

Thanks for the reply, I do keep it turned off when not in use. Is the print head that I clean the little piece that sticks up where the cartridge fits on top of it? Thank you for your help.

The print head is either going to be directly on the cartridge or static. Where you place it in the cartridge holder look to see if there's anything below it. If it's open space it's on the cartridge, Essentially look for thge place that would be direcly over the paper. I really don't know if using nail polish remover is good idea or not, if you damage it don't blame me. Like I said I only used it on a older printer and one with a cartridge that had the print head. So if I damaged anything it wouldn't have mattered.

Have you tried reinstalling it, I've noticed that sometimes that helps a little even with older cartridges.

thecoalman thanks again. I have tried reinstalling 2 different and new cartridges, no luck. I am just going to send it back to Epson since it is still under warranty. Thanks for your time.

  6. A caution: Nail polish remover usually contains the solvent acetone, which will dissolve rubber and most plastics. Isopropanol is alcohol based and more suited to cleaning printer heads.
