  1. Just been thinking about the deep analysis function in DVD Shrink and I'm wondering how many people use it? Also, how many people like to spend lots of extra time to gain an edge on quality?

I do. I like to have the best quality possible and I don't mind how long it takes - within reason, of course. I don't like to have a slightly inferior copy. I always feel it's a waste of time and media. Still, that's a point for debate.

I use the standard analysis in DVDShrink. One of the nicer points of the app is its speed.

And to tell you the truth, I haven't been able to see a difference between the standard and deep when I burn and view the backups done both ways.

    Hello,

I just use the standard setting. On my AMD 850mhz 12x dvd burner (4x write) I want it fast but descent. No complaints here for basic shrinking.

depends on the original. some things I really want archival, best-possible quality, and I'll go the extra mile with time and effort.

on others, I'm not so worried about the highest quality, so a quick & dirty authoring job, with stock templates I've put together, is fine.
