  1. I just used visual studio to cut a mpg file in few little pieces
When I look at the result my new cut video are really ugly and their is some square in the image ... Can anyone know why I got some quality lost
by just cutting part of a video without changing the format or the bitrate ?

p.s. I think I already wrote this post few days ago but it seem it have been lost during the server upgrade ... So sorry if it is a duplicate.

Sounds like visual studio is re-encoding the video, try mpeg-vcr,it cuts and joins without any encoding.

    Hello,

Tmpgenc can cut and edit video. File - mpeg tools - edit (or cut/join can't remember, it's a tab in the mpeg tools window).

  5. If you need to cut a piece of video it's ok
But I don't think it is the right tools if you need to cut a 1h30 video into 25-30 scenes
