    There are two methods:

Re-encode to DVD compliant, guide here.

Author with the video as-is, which is not playable on all machines, guide here.

    Good luck.

Click on the first guide that I linked above, it uses TMPGenc.

Since you extracted and converted the dat into an mpeg, you should be able to just use the mpeg instead. Try it.

480x480 resolution of svcd is not dvd compliant, so it will probably not play correctly on standalone unless you reencode using one of these

i didn't convert dat into mpeg.. i converted .bin .cue into mpeg

and tmpgenc plus doesn't work with mpeg, it says its not supported

basically i have a SVCD (.bin .cue) and i'm trying to make a dvd
can anybody please help?? I've been stuck for quite a while now.

  9. Get and use svcd2dvdmpg (free) to convert both .bin->mpg. Choose 352x480 or 720x480 res. This program converts both audio and video components of svcd to dvd useable format. Then author the disc using the .mpgs in your tmpgenc dvd author. Burn dvd with the author prog or nero. You don't need to join the two svcds. The authoring program will use it as two chapters.
