  1. Hi & help,
Up untill now, I could do back ups, now it seems nothing wants to work, tried several new releases, but my pc keeps crashing somewhere in the process. I either use, DVD2SVCD, eazyvcd, or smartripper, DVD2AVI & TMPGEnc. They were all perfect until past few disks.
Have the disks gone protected or what??
    Any help appreciated.

Sounds like its time to clean up the pc. fresh install of the OS would do wonders. there is nothing different w/ the discs, your computer is probably just a mess of bad registry entries, fragmented files, temp files and possibly spyware/adware.

You could uninstall the software causing problems, delete all temp files, defrag your drive. then reinstall software and try again.

  3. Thanks for that, tried all that, redownloaded programs & still no joy.
Tried on old dvd that had been done before on eazyvcd & that worked fine, tried on newer ones, crashed computer! ripping is no problem, but dvd2avi keeps going pearshaped. Even downloaded dvdx & that crashed!
Anyone else encountered problems with new release dvds???
