  1. Ok, I give up. I searched, I searched, i'm about to fall asleep. Can someone send me in the right direction as to how to do this.

I have a lot of very very short video segments(.mov Quicktime) files that I want to put on a cd-r. I also want to cut the audio out of the movies and replace it w/ my music of choice. I remember back in the day, I had a prog where you could swap out the audio. But I don't think it supported .mov files.

What programs can I use to splice these small video segments together and burn them to a cd-r and then replace the current audio w/ whatever I want.

I need freeware. Friend just wants to get a video of some stuff, nothing big...just having some fun.

    I'd appreciate all the help.

  2. TMPGEnc has a .MOV reader plugin - this is the link:

    http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/4942/svcd.html

This will allow you to convert all these clips to VCD.

Then, prepare your audio and use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools (File menu) to demux the audio from the file you just made with TMPGEnc and remux your new audio. This has to be in .MP2 format in order to work - here is a good encoder:

Once you have all your clips sorted, feed them into VCDEasy in the order you want them to appear on the VCD as. Once authored, your VCD will have each clip in a chapter.

    Hope this helps,

  4. Actually I went ahead and DL'd Tmpeg and the plugin. Tmpeg is just the prog I was looking for. I used to have it a while back, and was looking for it, but wasn't sure what it was called.

However, I DL'd the plugin and inserted it in the Tmpeg folder and it isn't reading .mov files still...

I saw where it says it has to be Quicktime 4 for it to work. I have the latest version of Quicktime, which I guess is like 6? Anyways, I figured it could be Quicktime 4 or higher, but apparently it MUST be 4. Where can I get this version?

    Thanks for any ideas/suggestions!

  6. Ok, I got it all down, but I am looking for one other program. I need something that will allow me to 'encode' a certain part of a video in slow motion so that when I put the small clips together there can be certain parts in slow motion. Also, if there is something that could run it in reverse? I'm not sure what there is, but basically a program that can put different styles to certain clips...

I looked around but couldn't find anything...

    Thanks guys.
