  1. Hey everyone. I have an external hard drive and I use it for back ups. Mostly music or video I edit. I was just wondering, since it is a pain to go through my music and video list and copy each file individually, is there a program that will copy a directory and paste it in external directory.

I know I can use windows but it will just keep asking me if i want to replace and I will have to say no to each individual file. Is there an easier program for this? If not I guess I can just hit no everytime not to over write.

Thanks for any help you can give me. If I am not being clear just tell me im an idiot and we can leave it at that as well.

i read somewhere that you need to hold down or press down the shift button then click the No button to reply NO for all the ovewrite message...i hope i remembered it right...

press down the shift on your keyboard, don't release the shift button, click the No button on the overwrite message while holding down the SHIFT in your keyboard...

    tell me if it works...

  7. Thanks a lot guys. I really needed to get a bunch of stuff copied to my external by this weekend and I believe both of these methods are going to work great. If I have any problems, I now know how to swear at you guys.
