Mediajoin Crash when join video but not audio

Hi, when i try to join many video ( avi or mpeg ) file with Mediajoin (http://www.audiovideosoft.com/ ) the software crach, i have this error message:

it happen whatever codec i choose to encode

My french is, well, a little rusty, shall we say, and the error log really didn't say much. I can olny suggest a reinstall, and if that fails, an email to their support people for help.

I tried to contact them for a support and i discovered that this product is not supported anymore ( homepage is http://www.mystikmedia.com/index.asp not http://www.audiovideosoft.com like i said )

So i need another software who can do the job, i found lot of avi joiner software but most don't re-encode the video so result is not always good

Any of you guys know a good software who can join many .avi file and re-encode them ? ( freeware or sharewhare )
