Have been using TMPGEnc DVD Author for my VHS home movie transfers to DVD but have been looking for an easy to use authoring program with more flexibility.

Am trying out the Demo for Ulead DVD Workshop 2, so far it looks good but it seems like when I'm scanning the video using the Jog Bar to look for chapter points I want to include that the video is slow to catch up to my movement of the slider.

TMPGEnc DVD Author seems much more responsive in this respect. I like the larger preview area of Ulead DWS2 but don't like this lack of responsiveness.

    My system is a P4 3ghz, 512mb DDR PC3500, 160gb 8mb 7200rpm, ATI Radeon 8500 64mb, so I don't think this is the problem.

    Anyone else noticed this?

    Thanks.

    Lord Smurf:

I know you have tested this program quite a bit and from your recent comments even prefer it to DVDit PE.

Have you noticed the Jog Bar response being slow?

    Thanks.

Ulead Movie Factory 2 is the same way. I use the "Edit Disc" function quite a bit and have given up on the draw bar/jog bar method. I preview the DVD(or DVD material) in my computer DVD player...write down the times where I want my chapter points then type them in.
