this is NOT spam folks.. I know some of you pro's use usenet a lot, well if you have a giganews account like me you may spend what I spend, I usually spend about $160.00 a month because the best package was 20 gigs for 22.99 a month.. well today I was checking my usesage and there was a new price plan.. 24.99 UNLIMITED GB! Man I upgraded my account and hit the groups.. I thought maybe the speed would change... NOPE. I am in heaven and if you are a newsgroup junkie you will love this. Oh sorry.. they allow you to use your FULL speed I am on a 3mb line and that is what I download from giganews, my isp caps me at 30 kbps.That is horrible. So just passing the buck.

Aint warez to me,d/l as much as you want isnt warez,same idea riaa thinks of kazaa,since you use it to d/l it must be illegal.If you state you will d/l movies that are still copyright in the alt.binaries.svcd group then its illegal.

Being a former easynews user I cannot only think of a few legit reasons to have a few GB's to download.

Discussions (which really don't use squat in terms of space)

Pictures animals, history, sci-fi, fantasy, etc... (non porn, which even some of those are illegal to possess since they are copyrighted)

User created pictures (pretty easy to spot, but again are drops in the bucket in the picture in terms of size)

Porn (and even porn is copyrighted materials, just no one cares if its stolen, its sort of like the drug dealer that gets his drugs stolen, do you think that he will tell a cop?)

Home Movies (have never seen any of these there but hey I can't see everything, but what person would want to watch someone else's home movies, and would you want to someone else to watch your home movies?)

So here's the call what other legit uses, short of small file sharing, (text documents, word docs, saved game files, config settings, etc...) are there for an unlimited download from usenet?

lmao.. that is hilarious. I think we all know what usenet is for.. thing is a one click kazaa (average) user is to dumb to know what it is, why it is or where it is. I have never heard of the riaa going after usenet. Unlimited bandwidth is a great tool. I do download indie music and movies, FREE, LEGAL. There are lots of junk to download that takes space. lol.. but still a funny post menes777. That was cool as hell. I was just helping the usenet users. It really is a once in a lifetime deal. Unlimited uploads too.
