  1. I Have tons of jpg pictures that I want to put on DVD as a slideshow so they can be viewed on a stand alone dvd player.

I have used some software that creates a 'video' with one picture after the other, but this is not interactive:

I want to be able to skip backwards and forwards between pictures using the remote.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

I use Ulead Video Studio. It's not just for pictures on DVD but a full fledged movie editor. Many cool effects, transisions, music and commentary tracks, titling etc.

Photodex ProShow Gold does great job as well. Easy to use, pan and zoom, lots of output options and a nice user interface.

  4. Hi, thanks for your replies.

I have tried the programs you suggested, but none of them seem to allow me to 'skip' between photos.

They just create a 'video' with a delay between each photo.

I want to be able to display a picture for as long as I want, then skip to the next one using the remote.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

How about looking at it the other way: Press "Pause" on the remote to stay on a pic, agan to continue? (With default display time set to like 5 s or something?)

  6. With Ulead DVD PictureShow I have to set the delay to 120+ seconds to go back and forth 1 photo.
I suspect it's in the DVD structure to have a 2 minute minimum per chapter because I have tried the disc on several players with the same result.
