Little problem that you might be able to help me with.....
DVD2OneX is just quitting on me when processing a VIDEO_TS file. Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation? It just started happening, and I'm not a programming type. Just a user.
Thanks,
Drake

How is it quitting? Do you get a dialog saying it has unexpectedly quit? Is your hard disk full? Is it happening on different DVDs, or just a particular one? If it's a problem with all DVDs, and you have sufficient space on your HD, I'd try the following options:
1) Repair permissions on your MacOS X hard drive partition using Disk Utility, which is located in the Utilities folder in your Applications folder.
2) Trash the DVD2OneX preferences file (DVD2OneX.plist), located in the Preferences folder, in the Library folder in your home directory.
3) If the other solutions don't fix it, you might try uninstalling Application Enhancer (if you've installed it), which gets installed with hacks such as Audio Hijack, WindowshadeX, and others. This has been known to cause instability. Alternatively, you can possibly deactivate those hacks for the DVD2OneX application.
If DVD2OneX is reporting any specific errors, please let us know.I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
wiseweasel seems to have spelled out what I would have said
sorry for the lack of replies, its finals week and for some reason neuro-musculo-skeletal seems to be harder than i thought! -
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Work, kids, etc.... The message that comes up is DVD2ONEX bundle has unexpectedly quit, blah, blah, blah. It's happening on a disc that my friend asked me to duplicate for his daughter going back to college. (I've had the damned disc for a couple of weeks, and she's leaving Friday) Johnson Family Vacation. It's happened to me before, and there has always been plenty of hard drive space. I've always managed to figure out what I need to do, though. It happens in Movie Only mode, and Full Disc mode. This one has me stumped even after I did what you gents suggested. Any others? Thanks in advance.

It looks like he is backing up a movie his friend owns. After all he has had it for two weeks and the rental late fees would really suck if it wasn't owned. With that said, try re-installing DVD2OneX. Download a new version and consider trashing the prefs - User>Username>Library>Preferences>DVD2onex.plist

OK.... Just to be "P.C."..... It's my friends dvd, and the copy would be for him. Not me. I have no desire to own that particular vid. Happy? :P
I've trashed the preferences, and done the reinstall, and the same issues persist. (lucky me..... i get to spend my day off messing with this durned thang!!!)

Here is a silly question...
You processed this FIRST through MTR 2.0 right?
what did it say? Did it give you any errors?
The VIDEO_TS folder you should be processing
is the one MTR 2.0 creates, NOT the one
on the DVD.
(sorry if you have done this, just from your posting,
you do not mention what MTR 2.0 said, so your
message made me raise this flag.)
I OWN Johnson Family Vacation ( not bad, I only paid $12
for it) , and I have made a copy for myself, and i
got no messages from MTR 2.0, and the resulting
VIDEO_TS processed fine to DVD2ONEX."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?

I recently became aware that Applicatoin Enhancer wreaks havoc on MTR
I use it for ClearDock and also IChatUSB so if you have it turn APE off before you open up MTR to rip -
I would try ripping that movie using another ripper like DVDBackup, OSEx or YadeX, and see if it makes any difference for DVD2OneX.

i don't care if you copy someone else's DVD, but there are people who do. i don't know if they read this forum, y'know?

Understood, dk. Just having some fun, y'know? .... and it *really* isn't for me. It's for the person who purchased the vid.
OK...... I've run it through M.T.R., Yadex, and DVDbackup all with no success. Really strange. I gave my buddy back his disc tonight, and went out, and bought his daughter her own original. It was easier that way, and she's happy. I suppose that's what really counts, eh? ;D
Thanks, guys, for all of the trouble.
