I have had a few SVCD movies converted to DVD's with svcd2dvd 1.51.20 where the movie studders and freezes in the beginning and then stops... if I hit the fast forward for a second or two and then play, the movie plays fine. These movies were CCE encoded and I thought it was because of the VBR CCE encoding process that was hanging up my Pioneer 270. But then it happened to a regular Mpeg (VCD) movie that I made. Once again, hitting the forward key fixed the problem. With the CCE SVCD movies I can reproduce the issue on my Apex 1100w. But the Apex does play the vcd movie without the freeze and sometimes can play one of the cce svcd movies that freezes.. hit and miss.
My question is would the pioneer fix (pan scan) help in this? I have also experiened in making these movies with or without a menu.. that does not make a difference. This is not a showstopper bug but just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.
