  1. Quick question...
Okay, I've extracted the VCD files, and used IsoBuster to get the mpg video files from the bin. Next, I used DVD-Lab to load the mpg files (2 of them) and it transcodes audio for both files. I set up menus and chapters for the soon to be DVD, and then compile and burn it. Everything works great, although before it burns I do get a warning telling me that the files are PAL and I have the project set as NTSC, being that I'm in North America(should I do this?). It burns, and I then I test the DVD in my RCA standalone DVD player. The menus come up, but when I try to play the movie, it's flickering badly and is in black in white. The audio is working, but something is wrong with the video part. To test it further, I play it in my computer, and it plays flawlessly. No black/white or screen flickering. So then, I test it in my XBox. Plays great! No problems at all.
Why was it having problems in the DVD player? Is it maybe because the file may be set at PAL and not NTSC, but if that's the case, why is is playing correctly in my computer and XBox? If that is the case, how can I convert the mpg to NTSC with complicating the process too much? I've tried the search, but I haven't really found anything that helps me yet. Any other advice welcomed. Thanks for all the help in advance.

  2. I tried to go about the process by another route this morning. I used SVCD2DVD to make the DVD. Still the same results on the RCA. Flickering and black & white.
