  1. I'm looking at a JVC 9800 SVHS deck that I'm going to use in conjuction with a standalone DVD recorder (model as yet undecided). Anyone have any opinions on how good Crazy G is to buy from?

No experience with this site; I would not order from such a site. Lots of horror stories abound about refurb shops in forums like epinions and yahoo shops. Stories like the unit arrives DOA (if at all), the site refers you to send it to the manufacturer and the manufacturer refuses the repair since the site is not an authorized retailer. Contact the site before placing an order to see if the unit and their customer service really exists; unfortunately some sites will outright lie about their stock, to them in-stock means we can order it for you from god knows what supplier.
