Gday,
I'n in Aus, using an AVerMedia capture card. When I record video, it plays back fine in, for eg, Windows Media Player.
But when I edit using Adobe Premiere 7.0 (Pro) the audio and video gets out of sync.
I am told this is because the video I am capturing is the raw broadcast MPEG. Because of the minor noise on the received signal, I can lose video frames, and this only shows up in software like premiere, where the next frame after a lost frame will be put up against the previous frame before the loss. (make sense?) After a few of these, the video gets noticeably delayed.
I think I need something to re-encode the mpeg, and hold over the previous frame where a lost frame occurs. Any tips? I know its complicated...
Thanks

I had this same problem with the Quantum Leap episodes I capture with my card. I capture to vbr MPEG-2. Editing out the commercials caused the audio to go out of sync. I got the program VideoReDo, and it fixed the problem. I would recommend this program to you.
