  1. I NEED TO KNOW HOW I CAN CALCULATE THE FILE SIZE OF A MOVIE BEFORE CONVERTING AN .AVI INTO A MPEG1(VCD FORMAT)...THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

    It's easy 1 minute VCD = 10 MB file size. And 74 minute VCD will fit on one CD.

  3. Let me also add that if you look under tools (links on left) you'll find bitrate calculators that allow you to determine the proper bitrate for a given movie run time, audio quaility, and # of CDRs. (have to encode with CBR or 2pass VBR for the calculations to work).
