  1. In my latest batch of ProdiscS03 DVD-R's from Rima, I noticed the Matte Silver finish has changed and has less matte and a slightly glossier look. No big deal, but when I opened up and printed a new pack of ProDiscS03 White Inkjet discs, the print quality has been cut in half.

I've got 2 different spindles of 50 and they both print the same way. Print quality is slightly fuzzy and looks like the print heads need cleaning. Here's a comparison on a new and old Prodisc. Old printout is on the top. No settings were changed, just the DVD.

But of course I did this and checked all all the ink cartridges. Printouts look fine on photo-paper and on a few old Ritek G04 white tops I had.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did I just get a bad or different batch?

  2. I have not noticed this but I was wondering if you could link to the Prodiscs that you are referring to? Thanks
Still a few bugs in the system...

I noticed that too. The Prodiscs from my 2 last orders are different. Until now the white surface was kind of similar to the printable Riteks but now it's different. The images are not so sharp and you have to use higher ink setting when you print with R200.
My last Prodiscs came in a blue wrap packaged spindle and after checking the manufacturer's code it showed as MCC 01RG20 not ProdiscS03 as usual. From rima.com they told me that these are the new Prodiscs.
So be aware that of that. MCCs are not bad it's just a different disc.

    Enjoy!
