Hi all,
When I download DV from my Sony via Firewire using WinDV the synchronization is fine when I select Type 1, but when I select Type 2, the video and audio are out of sync in the latter part of the video. Why does this happen?
I've tried Type1-Type2 converters from Canopus (didn't work) and Ulead, but the resultant Type2 video was also out of sync.
Any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks for your time.

I had the same issue with WINDV and DVIO.
Most people will say scenalyzerLive is the answer. A trial is available.
Also, any editing progam I've tried didn't have this issue, Ulead VS6 and Premiere.
If you keep your captures short, less that 30minutes, you probably won't see this sync issue with WINDV or DVIO.
Also don't do anything else on the computer if using WINDV or DVIO, just let the computer capture. -
Thanks for the link and info. I'll try ScenalyzerLive.
In the meantime, I guess I'll have to live with the Type1 files... I can't do batch processing with Tmpgenc using these Type1 files, but it's a minor hindrance...
