Deinterlacing

I have some music video DVDs that i want to put onto my comp and convert them to .mpg. How can i deinterlace them the best possible way and convert them?

I tried 100fps already but i want a .mpg file not an avi file.


So far i managed to deinterlace some of the vids using the deinterlacer built into TMPGEnc but it didn't do that good of a job and im having problems with demultiplexing the audio. How do i fix this?

Basicly right now i have a bunch of .vob files that need to be converted and deinterlaced.

Ok i think i figured most of it out.

I do still have one question, when u double click on deinterlacing under the advanced settings tab in TMPGEnc what do all the different setting mean? Which one is the best?

Ok i tried the double and double (field) deinterlacing that TMPGEnc has. The only problem is the sound is not meeting up with the. The sound is just barely behind. If you worn't paranoid like me u probably wouldn't even notice. How can i fix this?

converting isn't authoring. moving you.

Maybe if you sit closer to the TV set the sound will catch up to where it should be?
