NEC 2510 my experience...

I recently purchased NEC Nd-2510a dvd writer and tested the following media on it:
-Verbatim DVD +RW 4X.
-MEMOREX DVD +RW 4X (philips media)
-Samsung DVD +RW 2.4X (OPTODISCOP0)
I have tested the media on three Standalone DVD Players:
-A recent LG DVD Player.
-XBox DVD Player.
-An old german Dual DVD PLayer..

The results are
the old german dvd player refused to play any of the DVDs.
The Samsung DVD Media played fine on the other two players.
The memorex played fine on LG but sometimes not identified by Xbox.
The verbatim media takes sometime to be identified on the LG player but plays fine... on Xbox the video is interrupted....

Any suggestions to improve my media compatibility?
P.S. my drive has no official firmware that allows bitsetting on +R/RW disks...

Try -R discs. Like prodisc.

use a hacked firmware, and do bitsetting....and ALL of them will play anything.....
