I am trying to find some good 2x media (and its getting tough). I have an A04, and I wanted to know if these http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=R&Product_Code=1670 were good. I have bought some that look like that before, but I have heard that CMC makes TDK discs now, and I dont want those. Can anyone vouch for these, so point me to some good 2x discs?

I have no idea why you would want to buy these - they're .90 each! You can buy good 4X media for 1/2 the price - you can still burn them at 2X if that's the max for your burner.
Look at Prodisc and Ritek Ridata media: they range in price from .37 to .52 (depending upon where you shop). I too wanted to get 2X media for my standalone recorder - it would seem a waste to use faster media, but the extra expense for 2X media is way too much. -
actually, I can't burn 4x discs at 2x, which is why I want some good 2x discs

What burner do you have? Have you tried updating the firmware?
