I'm looking for a new tv for my room. I went to best buy and saw a 20 inch flat screen for only 159. I saw a regular 27 inch for 168. I want to go bigger, but the flatscreen looks sweet. Right now I have a 21 inch panasonic TV/VCR combo. Any thoughts on what I should go with?

  4. Go bigger... For as little as you probably watch TV in your room go with the largest you can get and fit in your armour. Especially if you are more than 6-7 feet from the TV

I'll still keep the 21 inch I have right now...that'll be hooked upto all my game systems and the new tv will be for tv viewing only.

Then definately 27". We have a 52" in the family room, a 27" in the master bedroom, and a 20" in the child's room. Going from the 52" to the 27" makes it feel like it's a 13". The 20" looks like a computer monitor!

I say 27" too. Flat screen is nice, but as time goes by the price will come down similar to regular tube TVs. I've seen the process and material costs on flat screen. The technology is new and that's what is keeping the cost so high. Same thing with DVD Players when they came out. The newer technology is just more expensive. You can get a crappy DVD player and play store bought DVDs better and clearer than a store bought VHS on a VCR. DVD's themselves are cheaper to make than VHS cassettes. The cost is more on the DVD because it's new and the demand on VHS is less than DVD's. I can go to a store and buy 25 DVDR's cheaper than 25 blank VHS cassettes. Go with the 27" and don't look back.
