There is a section to the left <--------------- that says dvd writers. Click on that then look up desktop recorders. There is a ton of info on this site... you just have to do some reading.

Hope you find what you want.

    btw
supreme2k's suggestion was a good one
use a better subject title for your post and you will get more and faster replys

Whatever DVD Recorder you DO end up buying...you may want to abandon the need for it to "play" everything. You can buy a CHEAP DVD Player that can play weird stuff (like MP3's) AND most likely it will be a better normal DVD Player as well.

  6. Check out the new JVC's. They make a very nice, low-noise video recording. About the best PQ so far and records to DVD-RW, too. I have a DR-M10SL (US version, no HDD) and it is great.

  7. hech54 has provided EXCELLENT advice.

Buy a good brand name for quality and an alcheapo for playing
those extra bits. I have a Conia for its high quality component output
and a Zensonic for playing mp4's vob's etc. The picture output of
the cheap Zensonic is no where as good as the Conia but suits
VCD's SVCD's and the odd accidental Divx.

Take some test CD's with you when you buy the brand name; for
the elcheapo check out here or forums such as http://www.nerd-out.com/forum/
