I am using Ulead Video Studio 8 for my latest project. I recorded a 53 minute video/audio file from my VHS through my Sony Digital8 through 1394 to my computer. After editing some things (cut some at beginning and end and used a video filter for a few minutes) I then began to create a video file in with the same video/audio settings as the original file. It got all the way to 99% done and then it said "Not enough disk space." I just cleaned out my 160GB hard drive to where I have 115GB at the start of my newest project. Does anyone know of a fix (or if I am doing something wrong) about this issue?

I left a post at Ulead.com on their forum but I seem to get a quicker response on this site

Are you capturing to an uncompressed avi file? You should capture to HuffyYUV codec or MJpeg. That will reduced the size of your avi considerably with virtually no quality loss. It'll make it far easier to work with too and put less strain on your system when editing and of course save HD space.

Any chance you're using a FAT32 file system. If so you have a 4gig limit per file.

I have been capturing home movies to DVD for the past several months without this problem. I also have UVS7 and I don't have this problem. I just burned a project the other day. This new one I was using UVS8 and this problem has now come about.
I seem to have more success with UVS7 than version 8. Version 8 has its advantages.

I have and AMD Athlon 3000
    512MB Ram
    160GB Hard drive
    Running Windows XP

That's nice. Now tell us which codec you were using to capture with when you ran into this disk space problem.
