    Does anyone know what causes this machine to go into the loading mode? Four times now the unit has locked up, no buttons work, then it goes into the loading mode for a minute or two. The last time I had to unplug it to get it out of loading. What is it doing when it says loading?

    Might be a media problem (trouble with reading the disc). What brand and type are you using?

    Prodiscs, which I haven't had any problem with. Twice it was when I turned on the unit the morning after timer recording the night before. The last time I had just finished recording and modifying name and was ready to finalize when it locked up and went into loading. I posted this in the wrong forum by mistake, I tried to delete but couldn't figure out how.
