    I have w2k pro installed in my machine. for the past two days the cpu performance show always 100%. I was running dvd2svcd and in between i stopped it. I restarted several times. As soon as i loggin and check the performance it shows 100%. anybody had this problem?

    Have a look at the processes window, see which process is taking the largest amount of time. As DVD2SVCD is more like a gui it might have started a program, then when you exited the program may have continued running, if it's a dos prompt thing then it's quite possible that a window wouldn't be open, even if the process is running. You can terminate the process (process tree is more advisable) and the prog will close.
