Hi,
Can anyone suggest any decent software for creating DVD slideshow movies from still pictures.
I tried a Ulead product once, but I think it limited each chapter to max of 99 still pics .
Any suggestions appreciated
Cheers
Scott

There are certain limitations set by the DVD format and specification itself that are not the fault of the software. You are limited to a maximum of 99 titles in a titleset. Many authoring programs will only create one titleset, and if they designate each still as a title, you will be limited to 99 stills.
Anyway - If I just want a simple slideshow, I use DVD Lab. If I want something more complex, I use Vegas. I do all my cropping and correction in Photoshop first, so I know that all the stills are correct before creating the slide show. -
put those photos on the Premiere timeline and turn them all into a AVI file. There are settings in Premiere that control how long a photo remains before going to the next one.
With this method you be using the fast foward on your remote control to foward through the photos.
I would use this method and place a chaper point before every 10 photos on the authoring timeline.
