  1. I've had a DVD burner for about 6-8months now. For the longest time I've been successfully burning DVDs from images (.img) which all played fine on my Norcent standalone DVD player.

Over the past month I've been having many problems with my burns.
What I normally do is rename the .img to a .iso and load it right into Nero 6.0 and hit burn. In the past that has worked with no problem. But now, when I try to do it, the DVDs won't play in my standalone!

I can play the DVDs with no problem on my computer and I can play all my previously success DVD burns on my standalone DVD player.

I’ve tried other methods of burning.
I’ve mounted the image and extracted the VOBs and then burnt them with Nero…
That method gave me one successful DVD, but since then that method doesn’t work anymore!

Anyone have any other ideas for me??
Very frustrating, not to mention I’m wasting a bunch of blank DVDs!
    Please help!!!

    FYI:
Burner = NEC 1300a (original Firmware)
Media = Memorex + and - DVDrs (have never used anything else)

  2. Besides Nero, what other software are you using? How are you getting the .img file?

Why change the .img file to .iso ?? you can burn .img files with no problems with DVD Decrypter (which is free software) - I have burnt lots of .img files with DVD Decrypter and they all turned out fine. In my opinion it is best to keep the file as it is rather than go about changing the file attribute.

    Hopefully this will help you.

  4. I tired DVD Decrypter and they still didn't work
Could it be that my burner has a problem? Would be a shame, this things got less then 50 burns on it
