  1. Sorry i wasnt sure where to post this, was going to post in the media section but its just a general question i need answering.

Everytime i get a svcd/vcd the audio is always out of sync with the video when i watch it on my dvd player.

My dvd player is a Toshiba SD-230E.

When i play the same film on my grandads dvd player or dads dvd player they play fine. I have tried burning on the slowest speed i could and the fast but it is always out of sync on my player.

Anyone know whats up? It gets really annoying

    Hello,
Have you tried both cd-r AND cd-rw? Maybe one will work better than the other. I guess the only other thing you could do if it works on one and not the other is to get a DVD BURNER??? Well, good luck. The media choices could also be a problem. Try different name brand media. Here's hoping

I don't know about Toshiba, but some players can be the problem.
I have about 9 DVD players, and one of them, (Daewoo 400?) often
has problems with anything that is MPG/1.
All others, even my Daewoo 5700, play just fine.

Maybe you should get another player, and just use the old
one for Mp3's, or store bought DVD's (which are usually mpg2).

I'm just basing this on the fact that it you say it plays fine in "grandads".
go to the store and try more players.

    Hello,
    vcdforme-store bought DVD's (which are usually mpg2)
They HAVE to be mpeg2. If not then your getting RIPPED off big time. I imagine they can't get the dvd video logo if it's NOT encoded in mpeg2, that's the whole point (higher video quality that is).
