Allmediaoutlet.com has them for $37/100. I need good, inexpensive media for my Panasonic standalone recorder which I use to record TV epsiodes and such, so it doesn't pay to buy 4X or higher speed media.

They're made in Japan (don't know if that's a plus). Any other recommendations?

    Thanks for your help!

Made in Japan is very good. But I don't understand why it would be so cheap. I have always thought Dupsonic was a cheapo brand like Matrix or Xtreme. They say SONY quality so maybe they are SONY media code. I don't know if those were every made in Japan. Might be a mistake.

If so, they're fake media. SONY never used "SONY" as the media code. THey used "SONYD4" and others like that. Not only "SONY"

Good point lordsmurf but I did not mean SONY literally. Anyway, has real SONY DVD-R media ever been made in Japan?

  5. Why not just buy a small pack of it first and test it out?

  6. I got a 3-pack of these 2x -R's that have only a "SONY" ID code. They come in fullsize jewel cases that, in turn, fit into an outer slip case. Although these are made in Austria! Fakes perhaps?
