I just read an article in Personal Computer World about getting the most from your 3D Graphics. I use my laptop for games cuz it's Radeon 9200 is way better then my desktops Rage128 Pro

Anyway I'm trying to sort out the settings for FSAA and so on. I'm using FRAPS to measure frame rate in Call of Duty, and adjusting the settings to try and find a nice balance, like the article said. Trouble is it's not that easy.

What is the difference between Open GL and Direct 3D?? My ATI driver has both. What one do I need to tweak, or should I set them both? They both have settings for FSAA.

    Thanks.

Why do you want to turn on FSAA w/ that graphics card, your result would be very low frame rates. I would expect that your framerates are already low enough depending on what resolution your using.

as far as opengl vs direct3d. its 2 different ways of creating the graphics. different games use different methods. Im pretty sure Call of duty is an opengl game.
