What is the best way to transfer VHS tapes; old movies to a DVD. It doesn't have to be perfect only good enough that I can enjoy watching the movies without thinking my eyes need testing.
What would be a good video capturing device, also what software? I know there is a lot of free software out there for editing, but know nothing about it.
Has anyone heard of the Plextor ConvertX PX-AV100U Digital Video Convertor USB 2.0? There are a couple other Plextor models.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !

There's so many variables and opinions. What kind of money do you want to spend? I feel that is probably a good starting point...
