  1. For those of you who print the outside dvd labels, for your black dvd cases, where are you buying your paper? 8.5x11 isn't large enough, and I have yet to find a good place to buy larger sized paper.

  4. Or use A4 paper - fits no problem.

  5. Why isn't 8.5x11 big enough?

The finished size is of a cover is about 7.10x10.60

Load a 8.5x11 in the printer, tell it it's A4, set the size to 7.10x10.60, and print away.

I like this paper HP PROF BROCHURE FLYER PAPER GLOSS A 2 SIDED which is two sided glossy, so you have no waste. If one side messes up for some reason, flip it over and print again.

50 sheets for less than $10.00

It helps to have a paper cutter. Scissors don't work good for trimming.

  6. My printer wont do it. I've read all about that. It has a sensor, and when the paper is almost at the end, it stops printing. It refuses to trust me and keep printing

  7. well you could also tape like a 3 inch stripe of paper to the end of the page. then that would trick the printer into thinking it's long enough. you might also want to try undercover xp. it let's me print on 8.5X11. I've been using it for like 4 months now and havn't had a problem with it.

What printer do you have? I know with pretty much every printer I've used you have to goto the printer settings and adjust it for borderless, or maximum print size (minimal margins).

Not all have this... I have a lexmark x125 and have yet to find out how to make it borderless! Its so annoying to tape the strip of paper to the end! Sometimes the printer eats it up and I waist expensive ink! I can not wait to get a new one!

Myself, I use the CD Stomper glossy inserts from Shop4Tech (not buying media from them anymore, just accessories). The are A4 size, with perf. for trimming, so you don't have to worry about your printer 'printing to the edge'. Printed about 1,000 of them so far, work great.
