  1. Still researching but the websites I read are just over my head, so I thought I'd ask you guys since you're so super smart.

If I get a DreamCast, do I need a different CD for each system. For example, a CD for Super Nintendo games, a CD for Nintendo games, etc. Or can I put all the files on one CD and choose which system I"d like to boot up for?

  2. I realize that, hense why I put it in "Off Topic", the forum where almost any question is appropriate. Thank you for the link, I've already read that page before I posted and it didn't have the answer to my question. It just talked about the different methods of loading to the DC, but I couldn't find anything about whether or not you could mix and match systems.

No, you need to burn each emulator on a seperate CDR... as for ROM CDRs, those you can mix all you want. Look at it this way... Let's say they made some media players for DC. You could choose from Media Player A or Media Player B, and A plays MP3s and B only plays WAVs... You would burn player A on a CDR and B on a seperate one, but your WAVs and MP3s can be stored together on a third CDR.

  4. Oh gotcha, so you don't burn your emulator and your ROMs together on the same disc, correct? I still am confused by all this and can't find a site to explain little details like this, and no, dcemulation.com didn't explain stuff like this, just gives you the tools to do it. But if someone could answer this question, that'd be great.

  6. You have a couple ways to do this:

Self Boot emulator disc + Self Boot Rom Disc (easy)
Non Self Boot emulator + Rom Disc (easy but need Boot Disc)
Self Boot emulator + Rom Disc (more difficult)

Ask if you need more help.

Actually, I got that info from dcemulation.com when I started. Their tutorials are great... but I don't mind posting up a simple answer.
