    Hello,
If you just want to do stereo rip the chapter you want with any dvd ripper. The vob won't be large. Use tmpgenc and demultiplex the audio and video. Use the new audio source and trim it to the length of the chapter you ripped. Then multiplex it together so you can load it into a dvd authoring program.

  3. I dont understand, sorry.

    "demultiplex the audio" "vob"

I want to rip a full DVD, to some sort of video file, MPEG or AVI or what ever.

Then i want to cut the best bits into seperate pieces and put them to a song.

Then i want to export as AVI.

    Hello,
I suggest ripping just the chapters since your short on space (a single layer dvd is generally 4.7gb). I suppose you could convert the whole dvd to divx (compressed file using a version of avi). Then you could cut the divx and mix your video to that.

    Hello,
Do you want to copy the whole disc or just a few chapters?

Go to the tools section on this website. You'll need a dvd ripper if you don't already have one. You'll also need a divx or xvid encoder. There are tons of guides on this website also.

Since it seems like you haven't done this much I would start slowly. Take one of your discs and rip one chapter out of it. Then convert it to divx. When you get the hang of that then you go on and dub in music (the music will have to be the same length as the chapter you ripped). You can use wav editors to trim it and tmpgenc to put them together.

  7. I dont want a scene for the DVD with a new audio track.

I want to take the video file, clip it all up so only the best bits remain, and order them to fit to a song.

    Hello,
Tmpgenc can do that for you. Go to file, mpeg tools, edit - load the file. Then you can select how many minutes or seconds you want and save it. I believe you have to save each sepeartely and then merge them into one main file later.
