Hey guys,
I rescently read through all the information on this site about modifying the PIONEER DV-353 through the use of a PDA's infared port coupled with a program called OmniRemote and have run into a slight problem. When I hold the PDA up to my player and send the appropriate code, the player shuts down like it is suppost to, however when I turn it back on and pop in my PAL dvds they will only play in black and white with lines going throughout the screen (this is how they played before I tried the hack). The disks are DVD-R's (the brand always works on my player) which were purchased in canada, and have a PAL dvd image burnt onto them. I was wondering if anyone knows if they aren't running because they're burnt, I can't see any reason why this would be the case, but you guys know better then I do I"m sure.
If anyone could provide me with any information on what I have done wrong, or even a sugestion, it would be greatly appreciated.
I have been getting my information from the following URL

First off, thanks for the reply man.
I was talking to a friend the other day, and he informed me that even if I make my DVD player region free, it won't allow it to play PAL movies, is this true? He said it will be able to play NtSC movies from all over the world, but still won't play PAL... As for my TV not being able to play PAL, I have a modified xbox, and when I hook that up to the TV it will play PAL movies perfectly.
