I'm thinking of asking my girlfriend for one of these for X-mas...they are only $90 including shipping on Pricewatch.com. Does anyone have any experience with this or earlier models? How is the picture quality? Ease of use? Enlighten me my friends....

I strongly suggest you use the "search" function of the forums. There have been many comments on the Napa previously and you will get a better feel if you read those over rather than the handful of posts people may write here.
IMHO, the Napa is not a good unit for VCD playback. It seems to have difficult playing back some VCDs that are fully compliant.

Same here. I am currently waiting for further instructions from EUreka about my NAPA. VCDs made with the specs defined in the tutorials section here do NOT play well on this unit.

It all depends on what the bitrate is, in my opinion. The higher the bitrate, the more it hic-ups on the video.
