  1. Here's a new thread. Have you had any suregeries/hospital visits? If so, what were you in for? List the history as you know it....This could be interesting.

    My case history:
Age 2, got salmonella poisioning from one of those little green turtles you used to get in the pet store with the little palm tree and pond. I was in the hospital for 6 months. I have track (IV marks) on my ankles from the IVs.

Age 5, got hit by 2 cars at the same time. One hit me and I flew up onto the other one wich tossed me across the street....All I got was a bruised sholder.

6 years ago, I had a laminectomy (removal of disk tissue) between my L5 and S1 vertebrae on my back, Talk about having good drugs

3 years ago, I had sinus surgery. the doctor removed a TON of polyps that were causing constent sinus infections.

2 years ago, I had a second surgery on my sinuses for the same reasons.

Last Christmas, I got hit by a car while crossing in a crosswalk. fractured my knee and bruised my lower back and sholder.

Dude, you are kidding right? That is a lot of sickness. Salamniya poisoning: is that a more dangerous, tropical version of salmonella?

Of course, I did almost die from radiation poisoning complications to my digestive system when I was 3. Also, I had eye muscle surgery when I was 5. But I never had to stay in the hospital that long. Makes me feel kinda lucky.

  3. holy crap! It's amazing you are still alive!

When I was 6 I got in a pony cart accident in a parade, Had to have reconstructive surgey on my face (they did a damn good job I might add )

When I was 12 I was riding down a steep hill on a skate board, front wheels came off, pronounced dead at the scene, but of course I wasn't more plastic surgery on the old face...

when I was 22 got hit by a truck on my MC, fractured my neck, broke my arm and shattered a toe (Ouch!) Spent the night in the ER

Couple of months ago cut my hand half off with a chain saw, another stay in the ER

Holy crap! it's amazing I'm still alive!

    Can't think of anything else....
    "Terminated!" :firing:

At 17 during Army basic I was in the hospital for a month with pneumonia. The guy in the next bed was there for pneumonia as well. We had a whole ward full. His temp spiked to 108, his bowels emptied, and he died right next to me. The rest of us wondered when it would be our turn....

Never had a night in hospital in my 65 years, but visited briefly for a couple of bones fractured in foot, and patched up after a motor bike accident.

about three i ran into a cupboard door face first. have a scar on my forehead.

about four i rolled out of bed and landed face first on a toy forklift truck. the forks missed my eye by about 5mm, i have a scar running over my eye socket.

about eight i had minor ass surgery for a cyst.

about ten i got pushed over in the play ground and cracked my head on the wall. that was scary, still remember feeling the blood on my hands.

sixteen years old spiral fracture in my leg, four months in plaster, and a wonky foot. and while whacked on drugs i broke my finger.

oh, and i pulled an iron on my foot and broke my toe, but i don't remember it, just been told about it.

  10. Age 4 or so: Ran into a bench top, cut my head open, trip to the surgery.

Age 9 (May): In the park with my Grandpa playing around and broke my left arm. Trip to hospital but didn't stay overnight.

Age 9 (July): About 3 weeks after getting my other arm out of its cast I was on the monkey bars at school and slipped. Broke my right arm, this time spending a night in hospital.

All the nurses kept questioning me about how I did it to try and catch out if it was the result of child abuse seeing that it was twice in the space of a couple of months.

Age 10: Diagnosed with Leukemia. Initially spent 13 weeks in hospital due in part to a stafe (staff, no idea how to spell it) infection in my finger I got due to having no immune system. Over the space of two years in treatment I would sometimes be in hospital everyday of the week other times it would be once a week or so.

Age 18: Wisdom teeth removed, didn't require an overnight stay.

Never had an overnight stay in the hospital, but I have broken my left wrist twice and cut the tip off one finger on my left hand, the one next to the little finger. It was sewn back on though.

wisdom teeth & surgery to reduce sperm count. I know there are going to be a lot of people asking "why" so.....

I had a benign tumor removed that was causing me to have horrible migraines.

My count was way too high as my testes were over producing, making the temp. a little high which lowered the mortality rate. Apparently, they shortened the tube from the testes to the seminal vesicle (or something like that) and then cotterized a couple of production ducts to bring my count down. I'm still a little on the high side, but my mortality rate is around normal.

  14. When I was 13 I was in to skateboarding. We had a few ramps and one was rather small and straight. Not to much vertical on it, but you could get a nice ollie off of it. I’m going at the ramp…but pretty slowly. My timing is off and on the way down my back trucks hit the top of the ramp causing my board to go straight vertical. I’m in the air above it. As I come down my left leg goes straight down the ramp. Unfortunately my left leg is not long enough to touch the ground. So the tail of my board (which is fairly pointed) is driving into my jewels. I’m getting all sweaty just remembering it. Haha. I get home and am in serious pain. No blood or anything…but I go into the bathroom and my nut sack is nearly black and my dick is turning all shades of blue and purple and black. I bruised the shit out of it. Now I’m panicking. My dad moved out when I was 7 so I just live with my mother. So at 13 I have to drop my drawers for my mother to look at my bruised Johnson. 13. We go to the ER because she doesn’t know anything about having a dick. So the Dr is looking at it and he is a little stumped on why my penis is still swollen (I had a hard on for about 2 days from the swelling). So he tells my mom that masturbation will cause it to stay in that state. So my mom then has to tell me that masturbation will cause the swelling to persist. I’m 13. A 13 year old showing his mother his dick and then her saying that I shouldn’t masturbate. Some of you are lucky to be alive by your stories. But I swear…I wanted to die that day.

I have a few...not as bad as some of yours though.

Age 5 - My sister and I were jumping on the bed and she was behind me and tripped on me which caused me to fall. My nose to hit the bed frame and busted it open. Luckily my parents are doctors so they immediately stitched it close(it was bleeding pretty bad). Then we went to get x-rays to make sure it wasnt broken. Apparently, during the night I coughed really bad and the stiches came loose(dont know how) so now I have a scar close to the bridge of my nose. Also, a little bone sticks out at the left side of my nose.

Age 10(ish)- I wasnt going to tell this story, but compared to Pwyll, this is nothing. I had a HUGE boil on my ass which had to be surgically drained. The bowl was filled with pus . I still have the scar on my right cheek.

You didn't start drinking four pints of water a day after you lost the first set of stones??
