    i downloaded an mkv file and it annoying plays english and french simultaneously. i want to disable the french altogether. how?

    installed the http://www.codecsdownload.com/download/Matroska_Pack.htm ?

    and then try play with Media Player Classic.

    Or you could install Morgan Stream Switcher by itself. Its the component included in Matroska Pack Full that allows you to choose between different audio tracks.

    Media Player Classic has its own Stream Switcher.
