  1. I use PSP just because its easy, and have no time to get used to using another app. Anyway, here in Japan they prefer using Illustrator...and with some design stuff I have to do, they need the vector layers and so on. I tried saving the file as an ESP file but it the layers just merged...any ideas!?

Try saving as a TIF or PNG. They support layers.

Neither of those formats are vector. The only way to retain layers with vectors is to save as the Illustrator format which is supported in most current Adobe apps. EPS is still the most universal. Why does it matter if the layers are flattened? You can also try distilling to PDF if there is a discrepency between the Illustrator design and the output EPS. You can usually still break apart components from a properly-encoded PDF just like an EPS, just not quite as editable.
