recently my mother inlaw to be went for a holiday to bali. she bought a whole bunch of dvds CHEAP. when she got home i found there were lots like THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW and VAN HELSING ect still only in cinemas. the question i have is are the really pirates or not?

i have been copying dvds for a long time and realised all dvd-r seem to be purple die? these dvds are gold (recorded surface) and in the middle on the recorded surface it has the name of the movie written/pressed into it like a bought dvd? but some are cam recordings? how is this possible?

    cheers

  2. The "real" pirates a way ahead of you...

Commercial pirates have their own CD and DVD pressing plants. They don't use recordable media...
