    Hope someone can help me.

    I downloaded a movie and it turns out to be a .mkv file. I have NO idea what that is.

    Can someone tell (maybe if there is a guide) how to watch that file ???? Or do you need to convert it or something??? Because I'd also like to put it on a DVD, I know how to get a .avi file on a DVD.

    So can a .mkv file be turned into an .avi file??? And if so can someone explain it to me in an easy way. I'm a real newbie so I don't really get all those technical terms

    PLease help !!!!
