The only reason why I have one is because I used the hacked firmware on my Liteon SOHW812s that I already had. It upgraded it to a SOHW832s which added dual layer recording capabilities. I tried 2 recordings and they both burned fine. The playback on all my DVD players was 100%. I used Copy2DVD. I haven't made any recordings since then (over a month). I refuse to pay that amount of money for the media if you can find it. Dual layer recording isn't that critical at this time for me.Originally Posted by Timmychuck

They work fine & come with software too, thats why you buy with software, makes it easier for you...
DL media isn't worth it at the moment, $14 per disk.
