Dual Layer Burning problem

Hi,

Can anyone help please?
Have got a NEC 2510A for dula layer burning & have got hold of a Traxdata dual layer disk but when I go to burn it with CopytoDVD it reports this problem:
Unable to start the write process-finalzation skipped to preserve media
Writesector failed ay sector 0(16) -Code 05 30 05 (Illegal request, cannot write medium, Incompatible format)

Any help please?

Try dvd decrypter it supports DL media.

NEC firmwares don't support Ritek's DL media yet so you'll need to wait for a firmware update and since it's NEC it might take a few months... Herrie has a patched version which support it though but I don't think he has released it for the public yet.

MKM (Mitsubishi/Verbatim) and Ricoh but the latter is not out yet.

I just burned my first dual layer disk today (Verbatim) and it plays fine in our Apex standalone. I need to test it in a few other standalones I have access to, though.

Let me modify my above statement somewhat:

I must have missed it the first time, but in our Apex standalone player, there is a split second (really quick) pause at what is probably the layer break. This doesn't show up in my 2510A, of course. I could pretty much live with that for now, but I'd like to find a way to choose where the layer break can occur. That way I could minimize any distracting (albeit quick)pauses at the layer break.
