One of Becks' alleged canoodlers, supermodel Esther split from her Dutch supermodel husband Mark Vanderloo after a marriage of mis-communication. Which explains why she (allegedly) fell for cunning linguist Becks.


Miss Croatia - Nina Moric
A model and a law student, she shot to prominence in a Ricky Martin music video. The tenuous connection to football: isn't everyone just dying to kick the stuffing out of esta cucaracha loca.


Miss England - Victoria Beckham
Mrs David Beckham has not had a happy ol' time of it of late so we thought we'd cheer her up with entry into our Miss Euro 2004 competition despite knowing absolutely nobody who will admit to fancying her. Including her husband.


Miss France - Virginie Ledoyen
Everyone's favourite French damsel, Virginie was thrust on The Beach for her football debut. She gave an impressive performance playing in the middle and although she hasn't quite fulfilled her potential, she is very well known in her native France for her ability to expose gaps at the rear. Or something.


Miss Switzerland - Michelle Hunziker
Switzerland's most famous person after Stephane Chapuisat and Christian Gross. She a Swiss-born, Italian-raised European supermodel. And we think she's rather purty.


Miss Bulgaria - Rayna Naldzhieva
An increasingly-frantic internet search for a famous Bulgarian woman has led us to Rayna. Another Miss World contestant who enjoys all sports (including football, probably). But like the country she represents, her passion for traditional folk music doesn't bode well for her chances.


Miss Denmark - Anine Bing
This Danish supermodel footballing wife of Anders Svensson is famous in Birmingham for not being seen. The council ruled that a five-foot nine inch billboard of this gorgeous gal was too raunchy and caused mayhem for its city's drivers. And we can certainly see why.


Miss Italy - Francesca Lancini
According to the altavista translator her career is 'happening on top of her'. She is also an Italian TV footie presenter for a show called Quelli Che Il Calcio, which means: 'For those who love football'. She supports Juventus, and says Del Piero has lovely legs but would never date a footballer. What about a football journalist, Francesca?

Nordegren has a twin sister, Josephine. Plus she's married to Tiger Woods. She's our Swedish entry for her excellent attitude to kickboxing, diving and working out.

She's pretty and from the Czech Republic. That's all you need to know. You don't even have to know how to pronounce her name. Though it does sound rather rude.


Miss Germany - Jana Ina
She's actually Brazilian, but has a German grandfather. And if it was good enough for Jack Charlton, it's good enough for us...


Miss Latvia - Marian Pahars
Not essentially a woman, but he's Latvian and has a girl's name. Which is the best we can do.


Miss Netherlands - Rebecca Loos
Daughter of a Dutch diplomat, she kissed and told after an alleged affair with the boy Beckham. Wouldn't you like to ****, **** and ***** her senseless?
