    <loud rumbling>
    The heavens above thundered, winds howled and the clouds did part, then boomed a voice:

    "most effective protection"

    ROTFLMAO...

    No way.
    The way Macrovision works best, is to create a stupid "copy protection" method. Ie. Macrovision for DVD's.
    What they then do is buy all the patents on technology that will be able to circumvent their "copy protection". Hence the reason why you generally dont see many good macrovision descramblers for sale. This is just yet another obstacle for pirates - obstacle being the operative word.
    I suppose that it will work just as well as macrovisions DVD "protection".
    The site hardly gives an insight into this technology either, it is just another case of hit and run "journalism" that is so rife on the web. They even find it worthwhile to add to the single paragraph ( which they so eloquently entitled "In Your Face, Cheaters!" ) that they manage to scrape together with:
    "A Ubi Soft representative was quick to add, "Stealing is wrong."".
    Really - thanks... No... Really, thanks Ubi Soft: Thank you so much for that insight on your new technology and your moral guidance.
    Hmmmm, wasnt DeCSS also meant to be "unbreakable"?
