I was thinking (dangerous, I know), that many of us do video restoration, and it might be an educational experience to see how someone approaches a restoration problem.

So I was thinking, what if someone posted a short unedited video clip in which everyone interested could download and restore to the best of their ability. Then post the edited clips with the process of how it was done. Maybe judge the clips for quality (sorry, no budge for prize money) and issue rankings?

Now I realize that every restoration project is unique and I approach each one differently as do all of you, but it could have some educational benifits as you think about how someone else approached the same problem.

OK, I know it's late (at least in the US), so let the flames begin...

  2. Nice idea but it eliminates any hardware that folks use.
