    good day,
I am a premiere newbie and I have two quick questions:

I have a two clips and I want to overlay one clip over another and have the overlayed clip to be under the first one, and be @ 30% opacity, is this possible?

    my second question:
I have a clip with an eye opening, is there a way I can make the clip so that it zooms in after the eye opens and then zooms into the next clip?

    thanks for any help,
    sincerely,

Yes. You need to adjust the opacity rubberbands in the timeline window. Do a search in the helpfile, and it should tell you what you need.

Yes, but I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "after the eye opens and then zooms into the next clip". You would need to use a video effect (possibly "Transform"), and use keyframes to make it go from one size to the other. Keyframe 1 would be at the beginning of the clip, keyframe 2 would be near the end where you would set it to be zoomed in to whatever value you want.
